December 3, 2011 Service: December 7, 2011 Robert Brayton Jeffers, age 80, of Grand Rapids, went home to Jesus on December 3, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Jeffers; and his brother, J. Lawrence Jeffers. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Violet Joan Jeffers; his children, Brian Jeffers, Kevin (Sue) Jeffers, Kathy (Tom) Petzold, Julie (Jim) VanderMolen, nine grandchildren, Jill, Erin, Jacob, Steve, Jessica, Hanna, Annie, Grace and Brayton; and many friends and family from Wolf Lake. Bob was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed time spent at Wolf Lake with family, friends and his dog, Rosie. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1935 Plymouth SE. The family will meet with friends and relatives Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Wednesday 1 to 2 p.m. before the service. Memorial contributions to Immaculate Heart of Mary Angel Fund or Parkinson's Association will be appreciated.
