Robert "Bob" Earl Inman, age 85, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in the arms of his daughter, Amy. Bob was born on January 19, 1938 in Grand Rapids to Charles and Marie Inman. He graduated from Catholic Central high school. He was married to the love of his life Donna-Marie for 56 years. He was a very kind, gentle and funny man, who was well loved by everyone who knew him. He worked in the aeronautics industry throughout his career, and always had a special interest in aircraft, space, and NASA. He was a ham radio operator (K8QFH) and enjoyed many hours connecting with people around the world. He especially loved his daughters, his dog and sweets of any kind. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Inman and his mother, Marie Inman, his wife, Donna-Marie, his sister, Charlene Pawson, and his infant brother, Steven. He is survived by his daughters, Amy Inman, (Margaret Urucinitz), Jennifer Rekucki, and Stacey Tuttle. Also, his grandchildren, Jordyn (Ryan) Bowers, Jacob Rekucki, and Lauren, Allison and Grant Tuttle. His great grandchildren, Rowan, Wyatt, and Atlas Bowers. His brother, Scott (Jackie) Inman, and sisters-in-law, Carole Hart, and Laureen (John) Parks. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood with Pastor Sean Kidd officiating. A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
