Robert B. Heidger, 86, passed away on September 23, 2020, at his home in Byron Center, Michigan.

Bob was born on October 7, 1933, in Jackson, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1951. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Howard W. Gilmore and was honorably discharged on July 16, 1954. Bob had a 30 year career with General Motors, retiring in 1990.

His beloved daughter, Gale Heidger, preceded him in death and they are praising Jesus in heaven together!

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara (Easter) Heidger, his son, Robert Heidger II, his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Brian White, his daughter Judy Murphy and his grandchildren, Trevor Murphy, Kayla White, Tyler Murphy, Michael White, Spencer Murphy, Aeschli Heidger and Abbi Heidger.

Due to the pandemic and to honor Bob's wishes, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Faith Hospice of Grand Rapids.
