Robert "Bob" William Gillies Jr. of Cedar Springs, Michigan passed away at age 60 on Tuesday, October 26th 2021. He was born to Robert and Delorna Gillies on March 7th, 1961 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Bob spent most of his years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing with his wife and friends, hunting, woodworking, and watching the Michigan game. GO BLUE! Bob adored spending time with his family and loved them with all his heart. He could light up a room with his smile and there was never an awkward moment because he always knew what to say. Bob was a wonderful friend to many people. He had a warmth about him that made everyone feel comfortable, accepted, and fortunate to be around him.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Theresa I. Gillies; loving children Brittney (Drew) Gleason, Courtney (Justin) Beck, his sister Laura (Marc) Foerster, and his Grandson, Ryker Robert Gleason, who was one of the biggest joys in his life.

There will be a celebration of life held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at the Rockford Community Cabin on 220 N Monroe St, Rockford, Michigan 49341. It was Bob's wish for everyone to celebrate together in their U of M gear. Please dress accordingly. Service Details.
