Robert Merrill Brewer went peacefully to his Heavenly home on May 2, 2025. Bob was born November 9, 1937 in Battle Creek, MI to Merrill Brewer and Grace Iden Brewer. He had one brother (Lyle) and two sisters (Mary and Donna). Bob began working at Bill Knapp's restaurants as a busboy/dishwasher and worked with the company for 38 years, retiring as an assistant vice president. He also served in the US Army, stationed in Okinawa.

Bob has two daughters from his first marriage (Sondra Foote) and two bonus sons, Tammie (Fran) Grabowski and Carol (Rob) VanderVeen. In 1994, he married Patricia Stapleton and they spent 31 love filled years together. Her three children Lori (Jim) Pastorino, Linda (Dale) Sinclair and Robert Sackett thought of Bob as a second father and he loved them like his own. His combined family also included twelve grandchildren, Emmy (Joe) Manko, Andrew (Danielle) Grabowski, Kellen (Jill) Seaton, Marta (Jesse) Grabowski, Samantha (Brendan) Prieskorn, Noah VanderVeen, Spenser (Maris) Sellers, Logan (Stephanie) Sellers, Lisa (Matthew) Wagner, Scott Pastorino, Ryan Pastorino and Ashleigh (Aaron) Ridenor and nine great grandchildren. Bob's family meant everything to him. He was quick with his love, hugs, jokes and helpful advice. His grandchildren will always remember his pancakes and world famous jello.

Bob was loved deeply and will forever be missed by all who knew him. There will be a "Bobtacular" celebration of life on June 28, 2025 from 11-2 at the Paw Paw Lions Club, 277 CR 665, Paw Paw, MI 49079. This will be a casual open house for those who knew him to drop by and share time visiting and celebrating the amazing man that he was. His Remains will be interred at Ft Custer in a private family ceremony at a later date.
