In memory of Bob Bogert

Bob at 85 years old passed away peacefully on 10-9-24 with his family surrounding him with lots of love and admiration. He was a loving and devoted husband, cherished father, brother, grandfather and treasured friend. His life was a testament to love, light, laughter and strength. Born on 1-1-1939 in Grand Rapids, MI was known for his boundless love of family. His home was a haven of affection, always listening, supporting and respect. A passionate pilot Bob soared through the skies with the same spirit he brought to life on the ground. His love for adventure was matched only by his deep appreciation for the great outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, camping or boating he embraced nature with open arms and a joyful heart. Bob was a storyteller at heart, he captivated everyone with his incredible tales of adventure. His humility made each story more remarkable, leaving listeners in awe of his experiences. He had a unique way of sharing his life stories making the extraordinary moments seem ordinary. Most importantly, he cherished his wife Beth, with whom he shared a profound bond. Their love was a testament to the beauty of companionship and devotion. Married for 68 years to his true love Beth, as a couple they were referred to Lovebirds wherever they went. Bob was a loving father to Christine and Lori and a cherished father-in- law to Larry and Brian. Bob loved his brothers and sisters with nurturing love: Jim Bogert(Pat), Richard Bogert(Diana), Judy Gardner(John), Penny McLeod(Mac) and Mary Arredondo(John). Bob also had a deep love not only his siblings but with Beth's siblings Larry Conley (Leanne), Tim Conley (Nancy), Terry Conley (Marilyn), Jackie Sullivan (Howard), John Twiss (Sharon) Bob's grandchildren and great grandchildren had a bond as nurturing and affectionate as a fathers love. Grandchildren: Tiffany Weijers (Louis), Zachary McKellar (Tiffany), Taelor Schultz (Ryan), Austen McKellar (Hannah). Bonus grandchildren: Stacy Dilworth (Nate), Shannon LaHuis, Shawn LaHuis (Jenifer), Amy Howard (David), Zac VandenToorn (Kaci). Great grandchildren: Kija, Blake, Torrin, Kyra, Charlotte, Quinn, Amelia, Louie, Carson and Abel. Bonus great grandchildren: Taylor, Emily, Kali, Mylie, Noah, Bennon, Nicholas, Sullivan, Natalie, Audrey, Tommy and Emily. Bonus Great great grandchildren: Nolan and Hayven. He held us all so close wholeheartedly. Known for his courageous spirit, sportsmanship, generosity and fun loving character nurtured his family with a bounty of love. Bob's warmth and affection touched everyone he met. His legacy of love and joy will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral Services for Bob will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 am. With a time of visitation prior from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Ofield Funeral Home,4500 Kalamazoo Ave, SE., Kentwood, MI 49508.

A Celebration of Life will be held following funeral services at Caledonia's Sportsman Club, 10721 Coldwater Ave SE., Alto, MI 49302.
