Robert "Bob" Cyril Baldus, Sr., age 87, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Brookcrest
Rehab and Life Center in Grandville.
He was born on January 23, 1934, in Grand Rapids, to Simon and Adella (Petrauskas) Baldus. He attended high
school in Comstock Park. He was united in marriage on November 10, 1962 to Mary Margaret Spinski.
Robert worked at Keebler as a baker for thirty years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He also
enjoyed spending time at the 28th Street Flea Market socializing and selling odds and ends. He was a
member of Holy Name of Jesus where served as an usher. He was also a member of the Wyoming
Moose Lodge.
Robert is survived by his children: Marie (Ken) Gill, Bob Baldus, Dan Baldus, and Sister-in-law Susan
Bethel of Simpsonville, SC. One grandchild Nick Gill who he cherished. He was preceded in death by his
parents, his wife, Mary.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500
Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
