Richard (Rick) Walter Scott II, age 62, passed away on October 6, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 23, 1958, in Muskegon, MI to Carol & Richard Scott

Rick attended Muskegon High School, graduating in 1976. He worked as a Metal Polisher & Finisher at Port City Industrial Finishing for many years and later helped manage his late brother Rodger's shop, Muskegon Industrial Finishing, for several years. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family, being at the race track, riding his Harley, hunting, taking trips to Las Vegas, and playing numbers. Rick was very family-oriented and was always proud and excited to be with his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful Father & Grandfather and had nicknames for everyone he knew. Rick had a big heart, he was full of wisdom and knowledge and always offered great advice. He was giving, generous, and was always thinking about others and bringing them laughter and happiness.

Rick is survived by his children, Heather (Jeff) Lyons, Richard (Jessica) Scott III, and Rustin (Jamie) Scott; stepson, Nick (Amanda) Leisenring; 13 grandchildren; brother, Ryan (Linda) Scott (of Norton Shores, MI); sisters, Kendal Scott (Muskegon, MI), Teresa Scott (Muskegon, MI), and half brother Robert (Bobby) Scott (Westland, MI) , as well as many other friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Richard, Brothers Rodger and Ross, and Best Friend and Soul Mate, Jodi Scott.

Rick was a very special person to many and will be missed dearly. His memory will be in our hearts forever. A celebration of Rick's life is scheduled for Thursday, October 15 from 6-9 PM at the Trillium Events Center at 17246 Van Wagoner Rd, Spring Lake, MI 49456. A dinner buffet and soft drinks will be provided as well as a cash bar. A special memory tribute will be made at 7 PM.
