After an extended illness, Richard Lee Runyan of Grand Rapids, MI passed on 11/30/15. Richard was born 4/11/46 in Grand Rapids. He attended Grand Rapids Central High School. Rich was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Air Force. Throughout his life he was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed working with his hands, building projects and fixing things. Richard was a wonderful, committed grandfather who volunteered his time at the local elementary school and was always willing to help a friend. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Hall) Runyan. He is survived by daughters Serina Hallaxs (Steve), Sarah Weber (Kevin); sons Brian Nawrocki (Stephanie), Richard Nawrocki; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 2 brothers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5th from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Knights of St. Casimir Hall 649 6th Street NW in Grand Rapids, MI.
