Richard F. Mulé, age 95, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.

He was born on October 4, 1926, in Grand Rapids, to Joseph and Mary (Russo) Mulé.

Richard started his career off as an accountant for General Motors. After a few years, he chose to pursue his true passion in life-food. He loved the food service industry and became a restauranteur. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing his favorite Italian dishes for his family, especially spedini. Richard was an extremely gracious and caring person. He never complained and always had a smile on his face. His family meant everything to him.

Richard will be dearly missed by his children: Joseph (Robin) Mulé; Mary Mulé; Vito Mulé; and John Mulé; grandsons: Andrew and Daniel Mulé; his sister, Catherine "Katie" Buzzitta; as well as many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Polizzi) Mulé; his parents; and his sisters: Jenny Russo and Dolly Coniglio.

A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, with Father Troy Nevins officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Service Details. Visitation
