Richard Dale Frenthway Jr. passed away on March 18, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Getman) Frenthway, his daughter, Melissa (Craig) Kibbey and their children Jacob and Avery, and his son Richard (Faith) Frenthway III and their children, Charity, Criselda and Isaac. Rick enjoyed woodworking and often built furniture and wooden bowls. He even designed and built his own lathe for making wooden bowls. He loved fishing for salmon just about anywhere, but especially in Muskegon. Rick graduated from Western Michigan University with an Aerospace Engineering degree and eventually he owned and operated his own airplane. He worked for 25 years as an engineer for Thierica Inc. A funeral service for Rick will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 12 pm at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave. Kentwood, MI) with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service. Donations can be made to the Kent County Humane Society.
