Richard (Dick) Cooke of Dorr Michigan went to be with his loving Savior on May 25, 2022 at the age of 71 surrounded by family at home. He was born to Fred and Ida Cooke January 22, 1951.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ida Cooke, brother Clifford and sister-in law Jane Cooke, brother Gerard Cooke, David Cooke and sister Shirley Wassenaar. Father in-law Robert Birce and sister-in-law Debra Anthony

He is survived by his Wife Amy Cooke(Birce) of 40 years. His brother Calvin Cooke. Son's Edward(Tonya) Cooke, Scott (Kelli) Cooke, Brandon Cooke (Mindy Mcmillon). Daughter Ruth-anne Cooke (Terry Perysian). Grandchildren Alex Cooke (Rachel Lake), Tyler Cooke (Madelynn Ebels), Corey Cooke, Samuel Cooke, Austin (Erica) Cooke, Faith Birman (Johnny Trosper), Tucker Cooke, Chayse Cooke. Adopted family Charles and Melissa George, Grandchildren Joshua, Abby, Lily, Ola, Ife. Sister-in-law Novi Cooke, Mimi (Jim) Vandenberg. Mother-in-law Elaine Birce. So very many cherished nieces and nephews.

Dick was a man of what we call "a jack of all trades" At a young adult age he left school to help on the family dairy farm. Years to follow he ventured in many different occupations. From demolition with his brother Gerry. Hauling milk to split and sold firewood. Drove semi trucks for various trucking companies from over the road and local. Ending in owning and operating his own trucking company, Alternative Trucking. His most loved occupation/hobby was Hog farming.

In his free time he enjoyed spending time with family. Also traveling to many different states to visit family and friends and seeing all the beauty his home state had to offer. His most treasured place to be was the Cooke cabin in Kalkaska Michigan, founded by his parents Fred and Ida. If you knew him he always had a "totty" in his hand! With that drink in hand you may have gotten the words from him "Thanks for the memories!"

A Celebration of life will be held at his "Palace", is what he called home! On Saturday June 11th from 3pm to 7pm. This will be a casual get together.
