Obituary

Renee Marie Warfield of Wyoming, Michigan, age 42, passed away on May 6, 2024.  She was born to Wayne Wesley and Marie Christine (Chris) Warfield (Sears) on February 16, 1982, in Kalamazoo, MI.

Renee was born the younger of two children and began her life in the small town of Lawton, Michigan.  She soon moved to Grand Rapids, where her Dad started his own carpet cleaning business, and the family eventually settled in Kentwood, where she obtained her high school diploma from East Kentwood High School.

During her adolescent age, she studied gymnastics and baton, but ultimately chose dance as her favorite extracurricular activity. Renee competed in many local dance competitions that eventually led her to national competitions where she often earned 1st place awards in either group or solo routines.  She also competed in many beauty pageants across the state, often taking home 1st place trophies and crowns.

Shortly after high school graduation, she was blessed with the birth of her first son, Wesley.  Roughly four years after the birth of Wesley, she was blessed with the birth of her second son, Kyle.  Renee loved her children deeply and continually supported them in some of the most difficult of times, while pushing them to do better in life.

Renee worked for her employer, The DECC Company, for 16 years as a Quality Coordinator. She was a dedicated associate that had a will to learn, strong ethics, and fierce dedication like no other.

In her free time, Renee enjoyed morel mushroom hunting, fishing, and taking random outings with her Jeeps, sometimes ending up in West Virginia.  She loved the outdoors, traveling, and the waterfalls in Michigan's upper peninsula. She and her significant other Jason Mcgraner, held a map of all the locations they had traveled to and visited.

She was known to her nephews, Tylor, Gage, and Brandon as the "Aunt with Red Lipstick', that would pin you down and kiss you on the forehead.

To her sister Kerrie, Renee was the little baby sister that needed five outfit changes in a day because playing dress up was so fun.  She was the feisty little sister that liked to "borrow" Kerrie's clothes in middle school, never to be found again.  She was the sibling that needed protection during her adolescence and young adult years, only to end up being the stronger one between the two.

Renee is survived by her sons: Wesley Warfield and Kyle Jakubowski; her sister, Kerrie (Robbie) Brower; nephews: Tylor (Eryn) Stancell, Gage (Ciera) Stancell, and Brandon Brower; her boyfriend, Jason Mcgraner; best friends: Sadie Henry and Faron Young; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents: Wayne Wesley Warfield (April 23,1996) and Marie Christine (Chris) Warfield (February 23, 2005).
