Regina (Jeanie) E. Ripoli, 70, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully at Heritage Assisted Living on November 24, 2022. Jeanie was born January 13, 1952, in Dayton, Tennessee the daughter of William K. and Myrtle B. (Yother) Carter. She graduated from Battle Creek Academy in 1970 and studied nursing at both Kellogg Community College and Andrews University. Jeanie married Warren Rendel and were blessed with two boys Curtis John Rendel who passed away in a motorcycle accident in 1991 and Kevin Jay Rendel of Nashville, Tennessee. She was married a second time for 34 years to Sam Ripoli who preceded her in death on March 24, 2022.

Jeanie worked as a nurse at the VA in Battle Creek before moving to Naples, Florida, where she and Sam lived for 15 years. Upon moving back to Battle Creek, she worked at Bronson in home healthcare which she really enjoyed until her retirement. Jeanie's favorite thing in life was to spend time with family and friends. She loved Christian music, reading, journaling, and writing letters. Jeanie was a devoted mother, caring wife, and had the most beautiful smile.
She leaves behind her son Kevin Rendel, siblings Brenda (Jerry) Baker, Rhonda (Dale) Davis, LaVon (Chuck) Eakins, Bruce (Ericka) Cantrell all of Battle Creek, Linda Carter-Thomas of Hinsdale, IL, Tom (Sherri) Carter of Cincinnati, OH, Libby (Lonnie) Ostrow of Key West, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Curtis Rendel, and husband Sam Ripoli.

Jeanie was a member of the Battle Creek Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Battle Creek Academy or Centrica Care Navigators, formally Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1:00pm at The Battle Creek Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle 264 W Michigan Avenue Battle Creek, MI 49037.
