February 26, 2014 DESPRES - Raymond M. Despres, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcel and Antoinette; brothers, Marcel, Robert, Roland Thomas; sisters, Jeannette and Rita. He served in the U.S. Army; was a driver for Quality Creamery delivering to the schools for 20 years; ending is working years as a custodian for Kenowa Hills school district. He loved to listen to the Tigers baseball games speculating on their success and demise. He is survived by his siblings: Alfred, Bernard, Rosemary Strzyz and Blanche (Jerry) Krenselewski; numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Monday, March 3, 2014 in the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Chapel, 3000 Monroe NE. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass.
