Randy Jay Summerville (67) of Gobles, MI passed away peacefully at his home on May 17, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Randy was born to Robert and Shirley (Sanderson) Summerville on August 5, 1955, in Kalamazoo, MI. He attended Portage schools until joining the United States Army in 1972 and serving until 1975. He married the love of his life Caralee (Carol) Cox on March 26, 1976. Randy never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to him, was just a friend he hadn't met yet. He loved his Harley Davidson, if he had his way, he would ride every day with his son. He also loved to hunt and fish, especially with his son and grandsons. Anytime he got to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face when they were around.

Randy leaves behind his son, Jamie (Leanna) Summerville; four grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle Ribble) Summerville, Jamie Summerville Jr., Kyle Summerville, and Maddy Summerville; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Summerville, and Kambree Ribble; brother Robert (Lois) Summerville; sister Sandy Cooey, and too many friends to list.

Randy was preceded in death by his wife Carol Summerville, parents, Robert and Shirley Summerville, sister Sharon Debault, and his good friend Robert Copeland.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life on August 12, 2023 at his son's residence
