Ramzi Karachy, age 65 of Grand Rapids passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Khulood, sons Nader and Samer, daughter Leena, and her husband Issa Haddad, grandchildren Rami and Jude Haddad, brother Samir, and sister Suhad Shatara. He was preceded in death by his brother Zyad. Ramzi owned and operated multiple Big Boys for nearly 30 years. He was the pioneer for the Karachy's in Grand Rapids. He always opened his home to family and friends. He was a great father who always seemed to be there for everyone. He was always ready for a good game of cards. The family will meet with friends Friday, Feb. 19th from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. A Trisagion service will be held Friday at 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Feb. 20th at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2250 E. Paris Ave. SE, with visitation one hour before the service.
