With deep sorrow we announce the death of our mother, and our grandmother, Phyllis Jean Tyler, who left us on December 21, 2024, at her home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after living a beautiful vibrant life of 93 years. She was the loving wife of Robert Dale Tyler, who preceded her by 18 years. The two of them were married 28 years and loved one another dearly. There are 3 of her children who are also preceded by her: Mike Bearup, Robert Bearup, & Richard Bearup.
Phyllis is survived by six of her children: David Bearup, Dennis Bearup, Deborah Canterbury, Diane Redner, Yvonne Meyerhein, and Michelle Glover.
Phyllis loved taking care of her little baby dog, Pepper, as well as enjoying caring for her birds. Another of her great joys in life was to help children. Maybe that's why she had so many and how she also loved and adored her grandchildren too!
For five years, she spent time volunteering in the Grandparents program at the Five Cap Head Start where she was able to continue to love and touch the lives of all those around her. It's never easy to say goodbye to your loved ones... so we won't. See ya later Mom & Grandma. We love you always.

Services will be held at on Friday, December 27, 2024, 10:00 AM at Ofield Funeral Home 4500 Kalamazoo Ave S.E. Kentwood, MI 49508. Internment immediately following the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery 2894 Patterson Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.
