Phyllis Francis Nystrom of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 91, passed away during the evening hours of Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She rests now, in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters Amber (Kenneth) Hollenbeck and Ruth (Steve) Sylvester; sons Nick Nystrom and Russell (Terry) Nystrom; grandchildren Kenneth Hollenbeck, Jr., Naomi Maar, Emily Riggles, Edward and John Piontek, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Anna Nystrom; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Evans; and daughter Mary Ann Terrian.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Vu at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1253 52nd Street SE, Kentwood, Michigan 49508. Relatives and friends may call on the family during a time of visitation one hour prior to Mass. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Service Details.
