In Loving Memory of Phyllis Ann Lanning.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my beloved mother, Phyllis Ann Lanning, who passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026 at the age of 81.

Phyllis was born on December 14, 1944 in Covington Kentucky to Louis Arden Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Thompson. She dedicated her life to loving her family, and giving to those in need. She was known for her kindness, generosity, strength, unwavering love, and her determination.

She found joy in spending time with her family, friends, and exploring ways to give back to her community. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, and her laughter, wisdom, and comforting hugs will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Louis (Brenda) Biggs, grandchildren, Christopher (Thea) Biggs, Joshua Biggs, (Megan McVeigh), and great grandchildren, Finn Biggs. She enjoyed spending time with extended family Michael (Kelsey) Maas, Dujana LeVault, Tyler (Sara) Beatty, Aaron (Rachel) McDonald and many friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis (Mary Elizabeth) Thompson, her brothers, Joe Thompson, and Jim Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on July 16 2026 at 11am at Ofield Funeral home with a luncheon to follow.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love will remain with us always. Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire generations to come.
