Phyllis M. Bennett, age 93, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Phyllis was born to James and Gladys Brown on October 14, 1926, in Otsego, MI. She graduated from Cheboygan High School in June, 1945 and married her high-school sweetheart three days later while he was home on leave from the Navy during WWII. She left this world in her own bed, surrounded by her loving family and in her daughter's arms, with her special dog Sparky at her side . . . and into the arms of the love of her life - "Brick". Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don ("Brick") Bennett in 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Tom) Cornelisse; sons Mike (Jean) Bennett, Bill (Linda) Bennett, Bob Bennett, Don Bennett, Tom (Amy) Bennett; and her brother, Robert (Fran) Brown. Phyllis was also known as Grandma, Nana, and GG by many cherished and loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; Her family was always the center of her life; She was loved and cherished and will be missed dearly by her family and by all who knew her.
