IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peter Scott
Hungerford
May 20, 1951 – December 17, 2021
"Your song has ended…but your melody lingers on"
Peter Scott Hungerford, 70, passed away peacefully while receiving hospice care at Wings Home in Allegan, MI on Friday, December 17th. The music world became a little quieter when he played his last note here on earth and began his journey home to join his mother and father Henry H and Kathryn S Hungerford along with his brother Stephen Warren Hungerford. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Shahana Klingenberg (Gary), his grandchildren Jason, Ryan and Madilyn, his former wife and childhood sweetheart Carolyn Lacy AKA "Lotta", his sister Jane Hungerford (Vaughn Cannady), his brother Henry Hungerford, nieces Carrie Visser and Heather Hungerford and nephews Brian Smith, Jason Hungerford and Ben Hungerford (Leah). Peter dedicated his life to his passion and love of music. As a well known and talented musician/songwriter, he collaborated with many talented West Michigan musicians and played music with bands such as Planet 7, Bunz, Michigan Brew and Mad Cat and The Pressure Cooker. His musical talents included electric/acoustic guitar, piano and drums. His many personal recordings of written music will continue to live on and be admired by those who knew and loved him. But, if Peter wasn't recording music or playing a jam….you would find him pursuing his 2nd greatest passion in life….FISHING! He loved being on the boat and going to Coldwater, MI to fish with his brother Steve or fish locally with his family and friends. FISH ON! A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring and additional information will be provided by the family in the near future regarding date and location.
"Music has the power to make us smile, and bring us to all types of tears. It can carry us back in time, and inspire us to dance in the moment. For all our happiest days, there is music."
