Peter B. Herrera of Wyoming, Michigan went to be with our Lord surrounded by his family on
Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, William Herrera and Andrea DeLeon; brothers, Rudy
Herrera, William Herrera, Robert DeLeon and Sam DeLeon; sister, Victoria Valenzuela; granddaughter,
Andrea Herrera; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gregorio and Belia Zamarripa; brothers-in-law,
Gregoria Zamarripa Jr. and Jeffrey Haynes; sister-in- law, Maria D Hackler; nephew, Jose JoJo Zamarripa.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ramona Herrera; children, Ignacio Tito Pizaña, William
Billy Herrera, Scott Herrera and Christopher (Babette) Herrera; grandchildren, Ignacio Pizaña, Kristina
Paniccia, Anthony (Kahley) Herrera, Megan Herrera, Alexis Frazee-Herrera, Christopher Herrera,
Nicholas Pizaña, Morgan Herrera, Hunter Herrera, Alex (Brooklyn) Herrera, Olivia Hodges and Isaiah
Hodges; brother, Roy (Alice) DeLeon; Sisters, Dolores Gambrell, Lupe Salas and Jenny Gabryszewski;
brothers-in-laws, Joaquin Zamarripa and Jose Zamarripa; sisters-in-laws, Pat Paiz, Martha Haynes and
Stella (Bill) Haynes. Many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Peter retired after 25 years from the CSX Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He
loved sports, including coaching and playing softball until the age of 65. Peter's greatest love was family.
He adored and treasured time spent with his grandchildren and extended family. He had a soft heart for
those in need and struggling. He was generous, kind and often opened his home and heart. He will be
greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, September 16 th at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937
Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Peter's life will follow from 12:30 pm - 4:00pm
at the Moose Lodge, 2630 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. In lieu of flowers the family
requests donation be made in Peter's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or Faith Hospice. Service Details. Visitation
