Pennie Smith, age 67, passed away at home on Wednesday morning, June 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Pennie was born in Midland, Michigan on March 12, 1956, to the late Norman A. and Maxine Northrup. Pennie was a 1975 Graduate of Midland High School.  Pennie worked at which is now Pfizer for 15 years until she went on long term disability. Pennie married David J. Smith on April 30, 1976.  Pennie enjoyed sewing, gardening, jig-saw puzzles, and camping with family and friends. Pennie is survived by her husband, Dave; their children: Jason and Kristy (Beeching) Smith and Brandon and Sarah (Styburski) Smith; and cherished grandchildren: Isaiah, Alyssa, Madison, Noah, Eythen, and Blayke.

The family will be holding a celebration of Pennie's life on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at East Arlington Baptist Church, 40040 48th St., Lawrence, MI 49064, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
