IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peggy Ann
Walton
December 23, 1958 – January 3, 2019
Peggy Ann Walton (Cooper), age 60, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2019. She was born in Lawton, OK on December 23, 1958, and lived most of her adult life with her family in Grand Rapids, MI. Peggy eloped with the love of her life, David Lynn Walton Sr., after meeting in the Navy and they were married for 34 years. Together they served in the Navy for four years, and they loved telling stories of the travels they shared and experienced. Their son and greatest joy, David Lynn Walton Jr., was born at the Naval Base in San Diego, and later in life, their family was blessed with a daughter, Lynzee Marie Durga. For many years, Peggy worked at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital as a surgical technician where she assisted with bringing new life into the world on the Labor and Delivery unit. She had a passion for her job and treasured being with parents during such a significant time. She was known by her friends and family for her big heart, compassion for others, and having a home always open to those who needed it. Peggy's laughter was contagious, will be missed, and will forever be cherished. Peggy is survived by her husband, David Lynn Walton Sr.; children, David Lynn Walton Jr., and Lynzee Marie Durga; grandchildren, Haydn David Walton and Parker Paul Walton; mother, Anna Mae Watts; siblings, Donald Ray Cooper, Patrick Allen Cooper, Michael Leon Cooper and Marianne Denise Fincher, and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Delmer Cooper and her brother Bobby Steven Cooper. A Celebration of Life Service date is being determined.
