May 18, 2013 Service: May 22, 2013 With shield and sword in hand, Paul Robert Stuefen became a warrior for his Lord and Savior on May 18, 2013. At his side while he left this world was his beloved wife Gina Grinage Stuefen, of 12 years. Paul was born in Charlottesville, VA on March 3, 1965 to Robert and Pamela Stuefen. He was a 1983 graduate of Caledonia High School, excelling in football and track, later returning to coach both. He enjoyed and loved all sports but especially loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. Paul was rarely seen without the colors black and gold or some sort of Steeler gear. His vast knowledge of the team and sport itself would blow the mind of any football buff he could come across. His other loves were the Spartans of Michigan State and The Fighting Scots of Caledonia. He also came to appreciate the University of Michigan for providing the education and care of many of the specialists on his medical team. He greatly enjoyed cooking, especially his famous ribs and award winning chili. He also loved the outdoors and working in his yard. Leaving behind his wife, and his son, Zachary Paul Stuefen, his faithful four legged companion, Ben, parents, Robert and Pamela Stuefen (CA), Uncle Dale and Aunt Joy Maher (WI), his five beautiful lady cousins and their families, sister, Jennifer, parents in-law, Randy and Sharon Grinage, sister In-law, Amy Banning, niece, Brittney, brother In-law, Scott (Jaime), nephews, Alec and Joshua. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 1-3PM and 6-8PM at the Ofield Funeral Home and an hour before the service at the church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11AM at the Gaines Church.
