On November 20, 2021, Paul D. Sherwood, age 69, went to rest in the peaceful arms of our Lord.

Paul was born December 24, 1951 to Sharon (VerBerkmoes) and McCleave Sherwood in Grand Haven, MI. A tragic accident took his father at a young age. His mother later married Orin Sheffield, who had 2 daughters and 2 more daughters were born to complete the family.

Paul was a lifelong resident of Grand Haven. he built a strong bond with friends that he loved to play cards with. Paul had a passion for fishing and never missed an opportunity to be on the water.

Paul is survived by his son (Stacy), three sisters (Sue, Pat, Victoria), and his beloved cat, Shorty. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many close friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, McCleave, Sharon & Orin. Also, a sister, Nancy.

After surviving cancer Paul made his home at Robbinswood Assisted Living where he was cared for and made more friends with staff and residents. Many thanks to Robbinswood as well as Hospice of North Ottawa for his care.

No formal memorial will be held but family hopes that all who knew Paul remembers his great humor and big heart.
