IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul
Cumberworth
February 28, 1968 – October 30, 2024
Mr. Paul Gary Cumberworth, Jr., passed away Wednesday evening, October 30, 2024, in Faith Hospice. He was born February 28, 1968, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Sylvia Buchta and Paul
Gary Cumberworth, Sr.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gary Cumberworth, Sr., paternal grandparents, Charles and Wini Cumberworth and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Lillian Buchta, who were very dear to him.
Paul loved watching and playing sports. His favorite teams were the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions. He loved cooking, golfing, camping, Nascar races, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He loved his time spent at Lake Michigamme in the UP with family during their fishing trips, trips to Put-In-Bay with the Ohio family, going to Pennsylvania to spend time with family, and taking golf trips around the country
with his good friends and family in Milan, MI.
Paul graduated from Rockford High School in 1986. He also attended Central Michigan University. Paul was a member of Mensa and the American Legion. He lived all over Michigan following his golf endeavors, but most recently lived in Lowell, MI.
Paul spent his last 30 years in the Golf Industry, Superintendent, Grounds Crew, Golf Course Management, etc. He also worked for the post office for a few years on the weekends
delivering mail.
Paul is survived by his mother, Sylvia Buchta, sister, Dawn Bonney (Michael), Uncle Chuck Cumberworth (Linda), Uncle Craig Cumberworth (Susie), his nephews Cameron Bonney (Jessica) and Jacob Bonney and several cousins and extended family.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Paul at his sister's home on November 17, 2024, between the hours of 1-4. There will be no formal service, but please bring your fondest memories of Paul with you that day—he would want us to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, who stood by his side with us as his life came to a close.
