Patricia Ann Smith, at home and surrounded by family and loved ones, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 21 2016. Robert, her husband of sixty-one years, children, grand children, great grandchildren, friends and all those who love her will miss her dearly. Pat never complained of her circumstances throughout her life, she always displayed a positive attitude, and met each challenge head on. Everyone who knew Pat would say she was a very sweet, but strong-willed person, always calm and gentle even when storms rolled in. She had a contagious smile for everyone she'd meet. A dedicated mother and wife, Pat grew up in Detroit and spent summers at the family cottage in Canada, where she met Robert D. Smith when she was only thirteen. Pat worked over thirty years in the food brokerage industry. She loved to sew, create, paint, go out to dinner, shop, play bingo and visit Traverse City and Vegas. The family would like to thank the incredible medical staff who took part in Pat's care. Your compassion and expertise were greatly appreciated. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday June 25th 2016 from 3-7pm at The Villas at Rivertown Clubhouse, 3510 Water Walk Drive Wyoming, MI 49418.
