Our beloved mother, Patricia Jane Shupe, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 5, 1929 to Mabel and Melvin Witzel. She married her sweetheart Robert M. Shupe in August of 1948. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Mom was a talented gardener and loved creating an environment of beauty for her family and friends to enjoy. She eagerly anticipated spring, visiting the local greenhouses and dreaming of the flowers she would plant when the soil warmed and softened.
Along with her gardens, she lovingly nurtured her five children who survive her; Michael (Linda) Shupe, Timothy (Ellen) Shupe, Jill Moroski, John (Ann) Shupe, and Todd (Heather) Shupe. Patricia is also survived by her twelve adoring grandchildren and twelve precious great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her "favorite son-in-law" James Moroski.
We take comfort knowing she is reunited in heaven with our dad, her parents, her dear sisters Sally Kok and Nancy Smith, and a host of friends and family who have departed this world. What a party they must be having!
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Patricia's life in an outdoor service at the family home on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
