Patricia Nivison went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 11, 2018. Everybody loved Patricia! She had a huge heart for people and her love was given freely. Patricia was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 17, 1946, and currently was from Clarksville, Michigan. Patricia enjoyed cooking, baking, and crossword puzzles, but especially loved reading her Bible and worshiping the Lord. Married to Barry Nivison on August 7, 1965, Patricia was a loving and devoted wife and mother of three children. Patricia was a wonderful homemaker all her life. She also owned a restaurant in Clarksville, Pat's Country Kitchen, for many years. Prior to that she had her own wedding cake business. She loved her Lord Jesus and that love was beautifully seen in the way she loved people. She will be dearly missed. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Barry Nivison; and children, daughter, Julie (Nick) Richardson, and sons, Charles (Maria) Nivison and David Nivison; grandchildren Joshua Nivison, Alexander Nivison, and Maximus Nivison. Brothers Robert (Marilyn) Swiatek, Leonard (Jean'Ne) Swiatek, sister Barbara Swiatek, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thaddeus and Angela Swiatek. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. A service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. A luncheon will be provided after the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Daily Bread Ministries.
