Patricia (Hebel) Green of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away on May 27, 2020. She was born September 27, 1929, to Ralph and Dorothy (Milmine) Hebel and was a great, great granddaughter of one of Grand Rapids' founding fathers, Aaron B. Turner. She graduated in 1947 from Godwin High School and was a long-standing member of Plymouth (Congregational) United Church of Christ.
Pat is survived by her children, Conni Teesdale, Chris (Bill) Cheevers, and Carolyn (Tim) Bartholomew, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Foote, and nieces Bonnie (Dan) Alkema and Susanne Hoekzema.
She loved reading, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, tending her flower beds, going to antique markets, being a Camp Fire Girls leader, and attending family events. She was also a passionate genealogist compiling family research for many years before the internet. In later years she enjoyed watching history on TV. She lived a full, happy, and rewarding life.
Due to current restrictions related to COVID-19 concerning social distancing, a private funeral and committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Ofield Funeral Home with Pastor Rachel Bahr officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff of Pilgrim Manor for their care and compassion during Pat's residence. Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to the Western Michigan Genealogical Society or to United Church Homes - Pilgrim Manor. Service Details. Visitation
