Obituary

Patricia Ann Davidson passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She is survived by 2 of her children, Laura Hiles & Larry Hiles Jr, as well as 3 of her siblings, Kasandra (Chuck) Langdon, Leona (Larry) Pease, and Thomas James. 10 Grand Children, and 13 Great Grand Children.

Born in Kalamazoo to Doris Marie Sly (Lamphere) & John Lawerence James, Patricia spent much of her childhood in Paw Paw & Lawrence area. She was 1 of 9 siblings- Robert, John, Michael, Kasandra, Carol, Thomas, Bruce & Leona.

She cherished time with family at her Aunt Jackie and Uncle Bill's country home, enjoyed picnics with her father and worked alongside her mother in the church, instilling a lifelong foundation of faith and service. During summers, she picked blueberries in Gobles to earn money for school clothes, chalk, and a blackboard—early signs of her resourcefulness and determination.

After graduating, Patricia built a loving family rooted in faith and togetherness, having 3 children, Lisa Sturdavant (James), Laura Hiles, and Larry Hiles Jr. She worked as a housekeeper and found joy in crafts, music, shopping, camping, and sharing meals with loved ones. Her home was filled with warmth and creativity, including a small porch tree adorned with handmade ornaments from her grandchildren.

Patricia played an active role in the lives of her grandchildren - Edward, Paul, Melissa, Patricia, Nathan, Conway,Jessie, Lee Jr, Hailey & Gabriel—present for holidays, birthdays, and everyday moments alike. In her later years, she lived with her granddaughter and namesake, Patricia (Joel) Regalado, along with her great-granddaughters. There, she continued to share her love through games, cookouts, heartfelt conversations, and unwavering support.

Her legacy is one of devotion to family, joyful celebration of life's simple pleasures, and steadfast faith. Patricia's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

May her memory bring comfort to those she touched throughout her life. She wished for a simple time of peace and laughter with a cookout to share a few words to celebrate her life. This celebration will be announced at a later date.
