Patricia Broughman, the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend entered her home in heaven on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Patricia was born at home on April 15,1939, in Ransom Township Michigan. She was the daughter of Laurabel Crampton Boyt and Lester Leroy Boyt. She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Lee Boyt, brothers Bill and Terry Boyt, mother Laurabel Boyt and father Lester Boyt.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Broughman of Eaton Rapids, daughter and son-in-law Sue and Tim Kolbe of Bradenton, Florida, Troy Broughman and Roxanna Anton of Naples, Florida and daughter and son-in-law Jill and Richard Rogers of Naples Florida; her grandchildren Tyler Kolbe, Sofia Broughman and Lily Broughman.
Patricia is also a beloved "Aunt Pat" to Barb Boyt, Rusty Boyt, Shawn Crance, Corbin Boyt and McKenzie Elliott.
Pat studied to be an x-ray technician at Jackson Junior College in 1957 and completed her training at Foote Hospital in Jackson, Michigan. She worked 40 years as an x-ray technician in hospitals and doctors' offices in the Eaton Rapids and the Lansing area.
Pat was known for bringing family and friends together to enjoy her fabulous home cooked meals. Homemade ice cream was always a must and you were sure to find her specialty cookies waiting in the cookie jar. Pat also loved to have her friends stop by for one of those cookies, a cup of tea and a chat. Her friends were so important to her and she had great memories of fun trips, tennis matches and such. She cherished her time with family and especially all of the many trips with her beloved husband Bob all around the state of Michigan, especially Shipshewana.
A service to honor Pat's life will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 11:00 AM at the Frontier United Methodist Church, 9925 Short Street, Hillsdale, MI and will be followed by a short graveside service. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall at the church.
