IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pamela Ann
Ebenstein
August 20, 1958 – May 13, 2025
Pamela Ann Ebenstein, affectionately known as Pam, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 66 in Sand Lake, Michigan. Born on August 20, 1958, in Cedar Springs, Michigan, Pam was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life. As the daughter of Betty (Streeter) Bergman and Marion Ebert, and later lovingly raised by her stepfather Claud Bergman, Pam developed a nurturing spirit that she carried into all her relationships.
Pam's devotion to her family was unmatched. She was a beloved wife, best friend, adventure partner and soulmate to Lance Ebenstein and a cherished mother to Pennelope (Zetty) Nagelhout, Brianna (Ebenstein) Rood, Katelyn (Ebenstein) Bowen, and Billy Zetty. Her role as a grandmother to Ashley (Nagelhout) Anderson, William Nagelhout, Nevaeh Nagelhout, Lorna Nagelhout, Cora Jo Rood, Joseph Lane Rood, James Zetty, and Hannah Zetty, as well as great-grandmother to Zoe Anderson and Grayson Zetty, brought her immense joy and pride. Pam also shared a special bond with her siblings, Lynda Dean and Danny Ebert, creating countless cherished memories.
A graduate of Tri-County High School, Pam embarked on a career with Independent bank as a teller and was also a bookkeeper for Koeze Company, where she was known for her meticulous attention to detail and her warm demeanor. Her colleagues admired her for her professionalism and her commitment to service. Pam's zest for life extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was an avid gardener, finding peace and contentment in the beauty of nature. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for biking, kayaking, scuba diving, and hiking with her dogs. Pam found solace in the tranquility of water, whether it was swimming, floating, or rock hunting along the shoreline.
Above all, her favorite moments were those spent surrounded by family, sharing laughter, love, and the simple pleasures of life. Those who knew Pam will remember her as a loving, kind, and selfless person. She had a gift for making others feel valued and loved, and her legacy of compassion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. As Henry Van Dyke once wrote, "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." Pam's love was her gift to us all, making every moment she shared an eternal treasure. We celebrate Pam's life and her enduring spirit, even as we mourn her passing due to early-onset Alzheimer's. Her grace and courage in facing this challenge were a testament to her strength and the support of her loving family.
Pam's life was a beautiful garden where love was planted, and the flowers that bloomed will continue to spread their fragrance in the hearts of her family and friends. Her light will shine on in the lives she touched, in the beauty of the natural world she so adored, and in the enduring love she shared. As we say goodbye to Pamela Ann Ebenstein, we hold on to the memories that brighten our days and the knowledge that she lived a life full of purpose, joy, and an abundance of love. Her spirit will forever be a guiding star for her family, a gentle reminder to cherish each moment and to live with the same selflessness and kindness that she embodied. Pam's life story is one of love in action, a narrative that will continue to be told through the lives of those she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 180 Northland Dr. Sand Lake, MI 49343 on May 24th starting at 12pm. Message of tribute and open sharing beginning at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Clay Street Day Center-Greenville, Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding or the local chapter of Alzheimer's Association.
