June 15, 2011 Service: June 21, 2011 Orville (Spike) Walford, age 85 passed away June 15, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Crumback) of 65 years and his sister, Margeret (Irwin) Raymor. Spike is survived by his children, Mark (Petra) Walford of Genoa City, WI, Jill (Mark) Dewey of Lowell; grandchildren, Sean Walford, Pepijn Schmidt, Emily Walford, Caleb Walford, Noelle (Dan) Rottier, Andrea Dewey, Tyler Dewey; great grandchildren, Calli and Andilynn Rottier; several nieces and nephews. Spike served in the Navy during WWII. He started working at Lear in 1943 and moved to Jet Electronics in 1965 where he retired from in 1994. Spike enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 21, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ofield Funeral Home Chapel, 4500 Kalamazoo SE. Visitation with friends and family is Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
