Oleg Genega, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at the Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. A strong-willed and avid lover of nature and traveling, Oleg was born on April 10, 1938, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of Ukraine. He was survived by his wife, Mariya; two children, Miroslava and Igor; and his three grandchildren, Stephanie, Olek, and Sofiya. Oleg will be missed by his immediate family here and in Ukraine; his brother, Myron; his sister, Katherine; their immediate families, and his close friends. Oleg will forever be remembered by his quick-witted and sarcastic sense of humor, as well as his unconditional love for his family.
