Ofelia Longoria, 87, of Kentwood, passed into eternal rest, Sunday, September 18th. Ofelia was preceded in death by her husband Reyes and daughter Linda Marcusse. Ofelia is survived by her four daughters, Viola Lou Grover (Arnold), Velma Duiven, Linda Lou Glover, Laura Lowe (Fredrick), 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. Ofelia was born in Rio Grande, Texas to Joseph and Bridget Vale, she was the oldest of 10 children who all loved and cherished her. She was famous for her cooking, which everyone seemed to love. Ofelia served the community for over 50 years doing tax and accountant services. She loved her cats and all animals alike, she will truly be missed by her family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 23rd at 11AM, all at Saint Mary Magdalen Church, 1295 52nd St SE, Kentwood. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a rosary service at 7:30PM, all at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood.
