Nicole Marie Houghton of Kentwood, MI, age 24, passed away May 21st, 2019. She was born to Jack and April Houghton on April 7th, 1995, in Grand Rapids, MI. Nicole loved to spend time with her closest friends and dog, Dexter. While in her free time, she would enjoy concert after concert. A lyric from Pierce the Veil's "Hold Onto May" says it best, "She sits up high surrounded by the sun, One million branches and she loves everyone" could not say it better. Nicole is survived by her parents Jack and April Houghton, sister Jessica Houghton, grandparents Merle and Betty Houghton, her aunts and uncles, Cameron and Paula McKay, Tracy and Gerald Carter, Kelly and Mark Cook, Deana Houghton and Brenda Breese along with her many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ronald and Joyce McKay. There will be a time of visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI, 49508. The funeral service for Nicole will be celebrated by Pastor Sean Kidd at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24th, 2019, at Ofield Funeral Home. Immediately following the service will be a luncheon at the funeral home for fellowship.
