Spicer, Nelton James age 74, of Gobles, MI, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at home surrounded by family.  Nelton was born March 28, 1949 in Newport, Arkansas the son of Max Williams and Vernell Britten.  Nelton was a Veteran having served in the United States Marines.  He was a roofer for many years.  He loved fishing, golfing, playing horseshoes and being with his family.  Surviving are his wife, Daina Conwell Spicer, Children: Randy (Michelle) Vliestra of Florida, Ricky (Joyce) Vliestra of Bangor, Scott (Brynn) Conwell of Paw Paw, John (Jennifer) Conwell of Gobles, Tanya Conwell of Paw Paw, Cy (Shelly) Conwell of Marcellus and many many grandkids and great grandkids.  Also surviving are two brothers: Wayne Williams of Kalamazoo and Lonnie (Rose) of Illinois; three sisters: Suezann (Wayne) Mabry of Berrien Springs; Debra (Ben) Daniels of Arkansas and Pamela Spicer-Waterson of Dowagiac and several nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Comstock VFW, 5990 E. Michigan Avenue in Kalamazoo from  2:00PM - 4:00 PM.
