Obituary

Nelson H. Farlin of Wyoming, Michigan, at the age of 65, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was born to Richard and Illa Farlin on January 4, 1960, in Lansing, MI.

Nelson (Jay) was born the third oldest of four children in a little house in Lansing. He was a graduate of Haslett high school and received an associate's degree from North Western Michigan College, in Auto Technician. Nelson also served in the army in June of 77 and was discharged in August of 80.

Nelsons (Jay) love was Vera Ducham. He loved to work very hard for his businesses. He had these businesses longer than 25 years. In his free time, Jay would enjoy watching movies or WWE and eating popcorn. Jay always was a funny man making puns.

Nelson was not married, but he did love Vera Ducham for 19 years. Vera had a daughter that jay took in when she was 10 that he loved a lot. Jay had a daughter Jennifer Jacobs that he had at 23. He had also taken in his granddaughter Jade Horton when she was 14. Jay has a son that he just met back in 2020, and his name is Drew Margerison.

The family would love to thank the Spectrum Heath Hospice for their care and compassion during Nelsons illness.

There will be time of memorial from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday 26, 2025, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, Michigan 49508. There will be a small gathering for Close friends and family at the house afterwards.

Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to the West Michigan Humane Society, 123 N. Beagle Lane, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
