Nancy Lee Kruger, at the young and sassy age of 84, broke her earthly chains on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. She was met at the pearly gates by her loving husband Gary Kruger, son Thor TerHaar, sister Carol Leunisson, parents, grandparents, and many close friends and relatives.

Nancy was full of joyful noises. Whether singing hymns, silly songs with children, receiving a surprise accompaniment by Pavarotti as a young woman singing in a piano bar, or whistling tunes from days gone by she was easy to hear coming and memorable once you met her.

She was well known around her small community as the woman with the gray bun in her hair strolling the streets with a baby buggy and a line of children in tow. She absolutely adored children. Raising her own, and making a life long impact on so many others.

Nancy spent countless hours nurturing her beautiful gardens. She was also always sewing seeds of love, compassion and faith in God wherever her long legs (or devoted husband) took her. She never did get a driver's license. One of her favorite places to spend time was camping on the Pine River. Generations of her offspring have come to love it just as much. That always made her happy.

The biggest love in her life, aside from that for God, was for her family. She leaves behind her children Tina (Dan) Ward, Scott TerHaar, Kelly Kruger, and Gary (Brenda) Kruger. She also leaves behind many loving grandchildren, great grand children, and a great great grandson. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those left behind and the many lives she has touched over the years.

A celebration of life is scheduled to take place at Cedar Creek Community Church located at 2969 14 Mile Rd. NE, Sparta, MI 49345 on Saturday, February 12th.
