Monja Lee Keefer, age 76, went to be with the Lord on the 15th of December 2015. A memorial celebration will be held on Monday, December 21st , 2015 from 5-7:30pm at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. Monja was born the daughter of Roy and Maxine Lewis in St Joseph, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband Clark Raymond Keefer. She will be lovingly missed by her children: son, Shannon (Katie) Keefer and grandchildren Tayler, Tessa, and Tanner Keefer; daughter, Garnet (Mark) Silverstein and grandchildren Carson and Keefer Silverstein; daughter, Marie Keefer-New and granddaughter Jessica New; son, Mark Keefer; sister, Toni Sabau and nephew, Brant Sabau (Cathy). As a retired RN, Director of Nursing she always enjoyed caring for others. She loved antiques, shopping and coordinating her outfits with all the matching accessories from head to toe. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother, older sister, aunt and friend. "I follow the path you have taken, many visions and countless imagery within my heart, you have awakened. Thus begins, the soul and spirt, guided by beliefs, for the view, illuminating, waiting for you. Again and again, I will see you, in the rebirth of innocence, with eyes crystal clear in dimensions, attested, the path and journey. Free from suffering, as being a mortal-being, with no haunting illusions, for our celestial time from beginning to end, holding your hand in mine.
