Minh Nguyen of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away on June 26, 2020 at age 68. Her birthdays were celebrated every February 2nd.

A native of Vietnam, Minh came to the United States on August 17, 1992. Leaving behind her older sister Triem Nguyen, she came with husband Kiet Tran and her daughter Phung "Lynn" Tran. Minh quickly became a familiar face in our local Vietnamese community and was a devoted member of the Catholic church "Our Lady of La Vang." Her faith in God was beyond measure.

Minh enjoyed life. She laughed hard, traveled whenever she could, walked daily, gave more than she could afford to, and brought joy to those that knew her.

She was a valued member of her neighborhood community. Although her English was broken, the ladies of the american born neighborhood gravitated towards her. The feelings of friendship and caring were undeniable as they rallied around her in her final days.

Minh cherished her family. She left behind her husband of 47 years Kiet Tran, her daughter, caretaker and best friend Phung "Lynn" Brockie, her son-in-law Roy Brockie, and the pride of her life grandson Walker Thai Brockie, her husband's families, and her sister's family.

The family would like to thank the Spectrum Health Hospice for their care and compassion during Minh's illness.
