IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mildred "Millie" L.
Crisp
May 19, 1936 – September 23, 2023
Mildred (Millie) L. Crisp of Wyoming, Michigan (formerly of Bay City, Michigan), age 87, passed away
September 23, 2023. She was born to Donald and Mildred Sylvester on May 19, 1936 in Detroit,
Michigan.
Millie lived life considerate and compassionate of others, always seeing the best in people. She was
forgiving and always gave others the benefit of the doubt. She embraced friends of the family as her
own and wanted happiness for everyone. She was never hesitant to offer a loving hug. Millie was
passionate about trivia, word and card games but was especially so playing Zelda. She loved music and
musicals and would sing enthusiastically, free of any concern of how others may perceive her. Millie
exuded positivity. Her amazing and unique sense of humor, with elements of sarcasm, was adored and
appreciated by those close to her. She found beauty in the smallest things. Millie always believed in,
and supported, her children and grandchildren. She had a penchant for offering advice that provided
options not previously considered. Millie expressed her extreme gratitude for the life she experienced
with her family and friends--a sentiment shared by those surviving her. In immeasurable ways Millie
forever impacted and influenced those who were fortunate to have known her.
Mildred is survived by her brother Donald Sylvester and her sisters Judy Curtis (William), Denise
Weatherly and Donna Harrell (Bubba); her children Robin Wood (William), Debra Gorney (Bob), Mark
Crisp, Jeffrey Crisp (Michelle) and Kevin Crisp (Julie); grandchildren Jody Baumgras, Tacie Gorney,
Brittany Gentry (Clyde), Benjamin Crisp, Sara Crisp-Schlicker, Branden Williams and Justin Williams; eight
great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
brother Michael Sylvester (Patricia) and her husband Larry Crisp.

expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to a charity of choice.
