Mildred Elaine McDonald, age 99, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

She was born on December 12, 1922, in Grand Rapids, to Harry and Dorothy (Lankerd) Fischer. She grew up in Grand Rapids. Mildred was a very social person, who was always involved in activities at church. Music was a very important part of her life, and she enjoyed playing the piano and the organ. She also enjoyed cooking.

Mildred is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Fischer; and her nieces and nephews: Linda (Larry) Horton, Cindy Rudnik, Marty (Cathy) Fischer, Cheryl (Mark) Drew, and Steve (Tammy) Fischer.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Stout; her second husband, Vincent McDonald; her parents; and her siblings: Raymond Fischer and Benjamin (Sandra) Fischer.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1253 52nd Street SE, Kentwood. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, and again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Mt Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1362 Leonard St NW, Grand Rapids. Service Details. Visitation
