Michiel W. Johnston of Holland, Michigan, age 45, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. He was born to Michiel D. and Sylvia Johnston on August 3, 1973, in Monticello, Indiana. Michiel was the youngest of three children. Michiel loved his country. He also enjoyed playing role-playing games with his friends every weekend. In his free time, Michiel would work on models, bicycles, and cars. Michiel is survived by his wife of two years, Felisha Johnston (Young); loving children Makayla Larner, Mya Johnston, and Victoria Johnston; sisters Lisa Johnston and Michelle Durran, and father Michiel D. Johnston. He was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia. The family would like to thank the Holland Hospital Intensive Care staff for their dedication to Michiel while he was in their care. The funeral service for Michiel will be celebrated by Pastor John David Punch at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service.
