Obituary

Michael Paul Wysocki passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born on November 26, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Frank Wysocki Jr. and Dorothy Wysocki.

Mike spent his early years running through the neighborhood with his brothers and sisters, forming bonds and memories that would last a lifetime. From a young age, he embraced a deep love for the outdoors-a passion that followed him throughout his life.

An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Mike was happiest with a rod in his hand and the sound of water nearby. Whether at the river or the lake, he found peace in nature and joy in the quiet rhythm of fishing.

Mike was gifted with his hands and spent many years working in the tool and die trade. He was also a lifelong horticulturist, with a love for plants and gardening that led to many years in commercial gardening. His green thumb was well known, and his gardens were always a source of pride.

In addition to his professional and personal pursuits, Mike volunteered for many years with the American Red Cross. He traveled across the country to aid communities affected by natural disasters, offering help, supplies, and compassion to those in need.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Wysocki; his brothers Frank Wysocki III and Daniel Wysocki; his son, Michael Wysocki II; and his first wife, Cherlynn J. Wysocki.
He is survived by his siblings Marann Horonzy, James (Jean) Wysocki, Dottie Parish, Jenny (Al) Meachum, and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his daughter, Jill (Don) Vyverberg, along with their children Rowdy and Riley; his second wife, Christine Wysocki; his children, Mike Wysocki and Megan (Aric) Davis, and their daughter Madeline; as well as his daughter Evie (Dan) Wilkes and their son Aidan.

Mike shared many meaningful years of companionship with his partner, Jane Kibler. He is fondly remembered by her children-Trecia Wright and her children; Cameron (Kourtney) Honeyager, Celeste Honeyager, Cassidy Honeyager, and Joshua Wandel; Ashley Kibler; and Anna (Cody) Runyon and her children Sophia Rose and Sterling Runyon, whom he considered family.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th at 3:00 p.m. at Saint Adalbert's Fraternal Aid (5th Street Hall), 701 5th St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. All who knew and loved Mike are welcome to join in celebrating his life.
