Michael Wyatt Wood [Woody] of Howard City, Michigan, formally of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 65yrs. Passed away on June 10, 2021. He was born to Orville C. and Patsy Lee Wood on November 10, 1955 in Grand Rapids, Mi.

Mike worked along side his dad learning and perfecting the techniques of a saw smith relating to saws and carbide tools. He was good at any type of work that he tried.

In early years he enjoyed downhill skiing and later became an instructor for handicapped skiers, which he loved. In later years he became a mentor to many that he saw a need in. His heart was huge and he used it accordingly. Many, many were blessed by knowing Mike. We are thankful to all of his friends and loved ones who touched Mikes life.

Mike fought a courageous battle with cancer, and it never got the best of him. We are praising God for just how He orchestrated every detail of Mikes last days on earth. His last 24 hrs were blessed as we saw believers come and pray for Mike and over him. Phone calls too. They encouraged him and thanked him for the positive impact that he had on their lives. We saw Gods love wash over Mike through this. Hours later, Mike asked us to leave the room so he could Pray. We were not privy to Mikes conversation with the Lord, but we have hope.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Willow Wood, who was the light of his life, and a cherished step daughter, Anna Sepulveda. Mike is also survived by 2 sisters, Shelly and Dan Beld of Jenison and Linda and Morrie Poelman of Hudsonville and many nieces and nephews who loved him. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Orville C. and Patsy Lee Wood.

At Mikes request, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Mikes life will be held with family at a later date.
