Michael (Mike) Jon Schrier, 48, of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 from total liver failure. Mike was born on May 24th, 1970, in Portage, Michigan to Timothy and Nancy Schrier. Mike is survived by Tim and Nancy Schrier (parents), Brian Schrier (brother), Jen Schrier (sister), Alex Schrier (nephew), and Ari Spoor (Niece), and pet, Kitty. Mike joins in Heaven his grandparents, Karl and Connie Kleckner, Robert and Minnie Carpenter and aunt, Barb Kotrba. Mike graduated from Comstock High School and spent his adult life living on the Eastside of Kalamazoo. He started working at age 16 at Meijer on Gull Road in Kalamazoo, and left for a different career path in printing and came back to Meijer for the last 16 years as a grocery stocker. In Mike's free time, he enjoyed talking to his parents on the phone multiple times a day, watching movies, reading comic books, hanging with friends, and drinking beer. To celebrate his life, a movie event (Marvel Avengers-End Game) and reception (McGonigle's Irish Pub- East Main-Kalamazoo), is being planned for him in May around his 49th birthday.
